Hey all! 

I’ve been so looking forward to the day where I could sit down and do my nails. Technically it could have been just about any day this week, but I got busy doing absolutely nothing! ;D Hey, after a stressful year at school, I think I deserve at least 1 proper week off where I don’t have to worry about anything!

But to get to the point, here are my new nails!

What I used:

Sally Hansen’s Instant Strength base coat, Sinful Colors Professional in “Mint Apple” “947”, The Face Shop in “GR501” (my base color), NYC Quick Dry in “Radio City Rose” “260”, Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear in “Golden-I” “485”, Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear in “White On” “300”, Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear in “Coral Reef” “405”, American Apparel nail lacquer in “Coney Island” 36507” and finally Essie in “Matte About You” matte top coat (my new obsession!) and an orange stick.

1) I cleaned my nails with nail polish remover (ALWAYS DO THIS)

2) Put two coats of “GR501” and “Coral Reef” on nails; let dry completely

3) Used “Mint Apple” and “White On” to polka dot three nails (the one’s with “GR501” on them) on each hand. Used “Golden-I” to put three stripes on fingers painted with “Coral Reef” and polka dot each thumbnail. I used the orange stick for every design.

4) Used “Coney Island” (using the brush) to put a large dot on each thumbnail, used an orange stick to apply “Mint Apple” as leaves. Used the orange stick to create petals over “Coney Island” using “Coral Reef”. Dotted on “White On” and “Radio City Rose” for highlights and shadows.

5) LET ALL DRY COMPLETELY.

6) Coated all nails with one coat of “Matte About You”.

I can’t rave enough about “Matte About You”! It’s fabulous! It doesn’t prevent glitter from glittering (which I was concerned about), and it have a great, consistent finish. Love love love it!

So that’s pretty much it, as you can see from the first picture, I was inspired by my mousepad (that’s what that pattern is under the nail polishes) ahaha it’s so gorgeous!
